President to hold office hours for students

President Neil L. Rudenstine will hold office hours for students on Friday, Sept. 26, at 4 p.m. Office hours are held on a first-come, first-served basis in Massachusetts Hall.

Clinical Programs office at Law School to celebrate 25th anniversary

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Office of Clinical Programs at the Law School, alumni, faculty, clinical instructors, clients, and students are invited to write about their experiences with the Clinical Programs. Relevant material may be donated to the archives, and some material will be displayed and/or published during the anniversary year. Send materials to: Anders Yang, Harvard Law School, Austin Hall, Cambridge, MA 02138. (The materials will become the property of the Office of Clinical Programs.)

Outings & Innings now accepts Visa and MasterCard

Outings & Innings, Harvard's discount arts and events program for faculty, staff, and retirees, now accepts Visa and MasterCard for payment. Movie and museum passes, concert, theater, theme park and sporting events tickets, as well as coupon books are available through Outings & Innings at a savings of 10 to 60 percent.

O&I lists its offerings every month in Harvard Community Resource, as well as on the World Wide Web (after Oct. 1) at www.hr.harvard.edu (under discounts). Harvard faculty and staff may also subscribe to O&I's informational email list by sending an e-mail request to outings_innings@harvard.edu. Located at 9 Holyoke St., O&I accepts orders via telephone (495-2828), fax (496-4126), e-mail (outings_innings@harvard.edu), or in person.

Register Now for Emergency/Back-Up Care Program

Service is Available to Faculty, Exempt Staff and Non-Bargaining Unit Support Staff

What do you do when your day care arrangements for your children or an elderly family member fall through at the last minute due to snow days, mild illness or other temporary circumstances? Harvard's Emergency/Back-Up Care Program, provided by Parents-in-a-Pinch and sponsored through the Office of Work and Family can help.

The Emergency/Back-Up Care Program provides--on short notice--in-home child care or adult companion service for a dependent. Faculty, exempt staff and non-bargaining-unit support staff are eligible for up to 50 hours of emergency back-up care service per year--at a reduced rate of $6/hour for child care and $7/hour for adult companion service. Membership and administrative fees are waived.

To use this service, you must register in advance (if you are already registered, you do not need to re-register).To register or for detailed information about using the Emergency/Back-Up Care Program, call the Office of Work and Family at 495-4100 or stop by the Office at 2 Brattle Square, Cambridge.
