Center
Judge Baker Children's Center, an affiliate of the Medical School, has
established a National Childhood Depression Research Center (NCDRC), funded
by $750,000 distributed from the estate of Josephine H. Klein.
Stuart Hauser, president of Judge Baker Children's Center, said the NCDRC
would "promote major new collaborations among a number of childhood
depression research projects . . . and stimulate new depression research
initiatives that could well have an impact throughout the nation" as
well as "promote new and ongoing research that can significantly contribute
to our understanding the etiology, early identification, treatment and prevention
