Faculty Club Offers Special Autumn Menus

The Faculty Club dining room has put together some special menus for autumn.

From Oct. 5 to 23, "A Taste of the Wild" features a menu based on locally harvested products, including Wellfleet clams and oysters, roast duck, exotic mushrooms, greens, and heirloom vegetables.

From Oct. 26 to Nov. 6, "A Taste of New England" features traditional and unique New England fare such as Yankee cod and white bean chowder, Maine lobster, country sausage with sage, and Indian pudding.

From Nov. 19 to 27, "Beaujolais Nouveau" celebrates the arrival of the new wine of the season.

Office for Work and Family Features Lecture on Infant Massage

Tracy Walton, certified infant massage instructor, will give a talk on "Infant Massage: Communicating Your Love Through Touch," sponsored by the Office of Work and Family. The talk will take place Oct. 14 from noon to 1 p.m. at 2 Brattle Square, second floor. The brown bag lecture series is cosponsored with the Harvard Wellness Programs and the Center for Wellness and Health Communication.

Walton will demonstrate how, through infant massage, a parent can soothe and relax a child, relieve stress, deepen bonding, contribute to development, and help a baby sleep better.

Summer School Hosts Annual Conference of Directors of Summer Programs

Harvard Summer School's Secondary School Program acted as host Friday, Oct. 2, to the 14th annual conference of directors of summer programs (affiliated with colleges and universities) for high school students. The first conference was held at Cornell in 1985. This is the third time the conference has met under Harvard's auspices.
