Rogers named Radcliffe associate dean

Tamara Rogers

Tamara Elliott Rogers '74, who has been Harvard's Associate Director of University Development and Director of University Capital Projects, has been named Associate Dean for Advancement and Planning at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. Rogers will assume her newly created position at Radcliffe on Jan. 8.

"Tamara's deep devotion to Radcliffe, her experience in development at Harvard, her insight, and her energy make her the ideal person for this job," said Drew Gilpin Faust, the Radcliffe Institute's first permanent dean, who arrives Jan. 1 to begin her own tenure at Radcliffe and as a member of Harvard's History Department faculty. "I am immensely pleased that Tamara has agreed to join us."

Rogers' 23-year career at the University has spanned senior positions in both resource development and admissions. At the recently established Radcliffe Institute, Rogers will have responsibility for both the Radcliffe Development Office, which this fall celebrated the successful completion of its $100 million capital campaign, and the Radcliffe Association, formerly the Radcliffe College Alumnae Association.

As Associate Director of University Development, Rogers' scope of managerial responsibility has corporate and foundation relations, international development, interfaculty initiatives, and planned giving. She also serves as the liaison for University Provost Harvey V. Fineberg.
