IEEE to honor Frosch

Senior Research Associate Robert A. Frosch will be awarded the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) Founders Medal on June 23. The medal recognizes major contributions in the leadership, planning, and administration of affairs of great value to the electrical and electronics engineering profession.

Weinstein receives achievement award

Assistant professor at Harvard Medical School Sharon Weinstein, a staff psychiatrist in McLean Hospital's Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic, has been awarded the New England Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry's (NECCAP's) first annual achievement award for outstanding contributions in the field of child psychiatry.

HMS receives $10M gift

Harvard Medical School (HMS) received a $10 million gift from the Bernard Osher Foundation of San Francisco to support its recently established Division for Research and Education in Complementary and Integrative Medical Therapies. The gift will also establish the Harvard Medical School-Osher Institute for Research and Education in Complementary and Integrative Medical Therapies.

De Young takes Bronze

Freshman Ursula De Young is the winner of AbleMedia's Bronze Chalice Award for her submission - "The Homeric Gods and Xenophanes‚ Opposing Theory of the Divine." De Young's work was published on the Classics Technology Center on the Web at http://www.ablemedia.com/ctcweb.
