Radcliffe Public Policy Center fellow Marilyn Carr organized a panel discussion titled "Policy Issues in Gender, Science, and Technology for Development: The International Dimension," on Monday, April 30, at the Harvard Faculty Club. The discussion was co-presented by the Once and Future Action Network (OFAN), an alliance of nongovernmental organizations, academic institutions, and international development agencies which work to incorporate women's needs and perspectives in mainstream science and technology, and the Gender Advisory Board of the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development (UNCSTD). Jayshree Mehta (left), president of the Once and Future Action Network on Gender, Science, and Technology for Development, and Irene Muloni, General Secretary for the Association of Women Engineers, Technicians, and Scientists in Uganda, were two of the participants in the discussion.
