Dunns to assume APS executive officer position

The American Philosophical Society (APS) has named husband - and - wife team Mary Maples Dunn, most recently the acting dean of the Radcliffe Institute, and Richard Slator Dunn '50, director of the McNeil Center for Early American Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, as its new executive officers, starting March 1. The Dunns, who will succeed Alexander G. Bearn at APS, are leading scholars of American Colonial history.

Klaus Schütz to talk about 'Germany Today,' on Nov. 6

Schütz to give Tillich lecture

Klaus Schütz, former governing mayor of Berlin (1967-77) and federal German ambassador to Israel (1977-81), will deliver the Paul Tillich Lecture on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 5:15 p.m. in the Memorial Church. His lecture is titled "Paul Tillich and the Politics and Culture of Germany Today."
