Unmined treasure
Professor of Urban Design and Planning Theory Margaret Crawford teaches the GSD class 'Listening to the City,' which devotes a lot of student time to projects in Chelsea. 'Instead of telling the city what to do, which is the way urban planners typically operate, we decided to really listen,' Crawford said. In one part of the project, a salt pile at Eastern Minerals (above) shone with the legend 'Go Sox' in letters 20 feet high. (Staff photo Stephanie Mitchell/Harvard News Office)
