Police reports

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the week ending Feb. 7. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.

Feb. 1: Harassing phone calls were reported received at Kirkland House. Cash was reported stolen from 260 Longwood Ave. Officers were dispatched to Thayer Hall to meet security regarding an individual who was urinating in public. Officers stopped, identified, and arrested the individual for trespassing.

Feb. 2: An individual called HUPD to report the larceny of funds designated for an apartment rental agreement that never transpired.

Feb. 3: Two laptops were reported stolen from the Biology Laboratory. Vandalism to a window was reported at Apley Court lot. An officer responded to a report of a disturbance in the Quincy House courtyard. Officers determined that a domestic-related assault had taken place. An investigation is ongoing.

Feb. 4: A drawing board was reported stolen from Gund Hall. Damage to a parked motor vehicle was reported at the Business School lot. A wallet was reported stolen from Harkness Commons. Officers were dispatched to the Biology Laboratory on a report of a fire alarm. An officer reports that the Cambridge Fire Department (CFD) located a fire in the lower level of an area currently under construction. CFD extinguished the fire and will conduct an investigation into its cause. Officers were dispatched along with the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) to 45 Mt. Auburn St. on a report of an assault. CPD took over the scene.

Feb. 5: Officers searched the area of Bow and Arrow streets for a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred in the jurisdiction of the MBTA. The suspect was captured by HUPD officers and turned over to the MBTA Police.

Feb. 6: A bicycle was reported stolen from the rack outside Adams House.

Feb. 7: A wallet was reported stolen from the Malkin Athletic Center. An officer was dispatched to Terry Terrace to take a report of stolen keys that were used to enter an apartment. No items were reported stolen at the time.
