Directed by Tom Everett, the pops band will give performances Aug. 3 at 4 p.m. in the Yard, and Aug. 7 at 3 p.m. at the Hatch Shell. For more information, call (617) 496-2263.

Additionally, the Harvard Summer School Orchestra - directed by Judith Zuckerman - is holding open auditions June 28-30 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Paine Hall, room 2. The audition consists of playing one prepared piece and some sight-reading. Rehearsals will be held Mondays from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in Lowell Hall. On Aug. 13, the orchestra will perform Mikhail Ippolitov Ivanov's "Caucasian Sketches, Op. 10" and Mozart's "Violin Concerto in A Major," among other works, at a Sanders Theatre concert. E-mail judyzuckerman@yahoo.com for more information.

Lastly, the Harvard Summer School Chorus is holding open auditions to vocalists from the University and Greater Boston area on June 25 (from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4:30 p.m.); June 26 (from 2 to 4:30 p.m.); and June 27 (from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m.) in Paine Hall, room 2. The chorus, which is directed by Jameson Marvin, will hold hour-and-a-half rehearsals every Tuesday and Thursday beginning June 28 through July 28 at 7 p.m. in Lowell Hall. The group will perform Mozart's "Mass in C Minor," among other works, Aug. 5 at Sanders Theatre. Call (617) 495-0692 for more information.
